Welcome to our site! We want to apologize to those who have visited our site previously. Over the last year or so, we have been unable to keep our website updated, and for that we are very sorry. We are now updating available stock and prices for the hosta, and hope to add peonies and daylilies soon. Please note the new email address also.
We are now in our twelfth year of business and keeping quite busy. We have cut down on the number of varieties of hosta, as we have had a difficult time keeping the larger stock watered properly during the last two extremely dry summers, plus losing a lot of our shade. So after accumulating over 900 varieties, we have put ourselves on a “hosta diet” and not restocked several varieties. We now purchase only hosta that are much different than what we already have and that definitely limits us. We still have several hundred varieties, including a few that are not listed in the current listing. If there is one not listed that you want, please inquire. We may have a very limited supply and if not, we can usually find one for you.
All of our hosta are grown in one gallon pots and are at least two years old. We guarantee them to be true to name and healthy when you receive them. Since we cannot plant and water them for you upon receipt, we are unable to guarantee them beyond that time.
Our daylilies are heavily budded this season, as well as our peonies. Though we don’t have near as many varieties of these plants, we do have about two hundred varieties of daylilies and about 30 varieties of peonies. Feel free to inquire about these too.
If you are ever in the area and want to visit our garden, please call ahead. We are semi-retired and sometimes decide to “take off”. After all, what better way check out the new stuff. We do ask that you please not enter the gardens when we are not here. This is our home, so it drives our neighbors, who keep watch over things for us, crazy.
